FFancy_Free_Gluten Free_Bakeryancy Free Bakery is a by order only bakery on the Eastside that sells directly to customers.  Visit the website to order.  Delivery is available in the Kirkland, Redmond and Bellevue area.  The Bakery arranges for pick-up and delivery, as the customer requires.  Customers can also pick up at the office/home located in Kirkland.

 

 

The bakery provides delicious, no-compromise baked goods that are always gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and egg-free, and vegan.

The baked goods include rye, sandwich and sourdough bread, dinner and sandwich rolls, brownies, vanilla, lemon and chocolate cupcakes, and various cakes.

With a dedicated gluten-free kitchen, all of their gluten free customers, including those with celiac disease, can rest assured there are no cross-contamination concerns.

As is frequently the case, individuals with one food allergy often have multiple food allergies. Of the top eight food allergens, which account for 90 percent of all documented food allergies, our Fancy Free Bakery baked goods are free from 5 of them:

  • Wheat (Gluten),
  • Dairy (Milk),
  • Eggs,
  • Soy,
  • Peanuts.

Our mission is to provide delicious, 'can't-tell-the-difference' baked goods, made from quality ingredients (including organic, if available), so our customers can delight in loving baked goods again!  

 

The Family Behind the Bakery

 

Fancy Free Bakery was founded by Kaylee Nilan, Ashleigh (daughter to Kaylee), and their friend Lynn.

 

In 2001, after 7 years of serious illness, Ashleigh was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. As is all too common, going gluten free turned out to be just the tip of the dietary iceberg. In addition to avoiding gluten, Ashleigh was subsequently found to have intolerances to dairy, soy and egg. Eating with these restrictions has proven to be quite the challenge, but luckily, Ashleigh has had a champion in her corner.

 

Kaylee is an experienced baker who loves to experiment and find just the right combination of taste, texture and aesthetics. When she realized that the key to her daughter’s health was a matter of diet, she began her quest to develop delicious, "can’t tell the difference" gluten free and other allergen free (and in many cases, vegan) baked goods.

 

After 12+ years of baking GF and other allergen free breads and treats, Kaylee's family and friends and friends of friends insisted that she share her delicious baked good with others in need.

 

Fancy Free Bakery was born in 2011 and the loyal fan base is growing daily!

 

Lynn joined Fancy Free Bakery as Marketing Manager in 2012. Lynn has been a friend of Kaylee's and Ashleigh's for many years, and one of Fancy Free's biggest fans.

 

Fancy Free Bakery has a passion to prove that living with food allergies and intolerances doesn't mean settling for less.
