The mani clams, fennel sausage, soffrito, arugula, calabrian chili, parsley, herb butter here is out of this world -- and gluten-free to boot!

I received this warning about Piatti and wanted to share it will of you:

Jamie,
You may want to reconsider having Piattis on your list . I went there last week after a UW tour and the manager ran over to the table ( I had alerted the waitress I have CD) to tell me that nothing was safe to eat there due to cross contamination. He told me I should not have the salad I ordered as it is prepared right next to the pizza station. I was ravenous as the other people in my group ate so I ordered an Udis GF roll to tide me over. We were sitting right across from the kitchen and I saw them place the roll INTO THE PIZZA OVEN to warm it up. As in, on the rack where a pizza was cooking. Not sure if it's an entirely new staff since the remodel, but everyone there seems pretty uneducated re: CD.
