Tango Restaurant and Lounge
1100 Pike Street Seattle, WA 98101
When we are looking for a casual date night in Seattle that offers good food in a cool but laid back atmosphere, we head to Tango Restaurant. Tango offers a dedicated Gluten Free Menu of Latin infused food and Spanish tapas. For a fun date, start with an order of “Cheap Dates” - Medjool dates wrapped in bacon, pickled red onion, and balsamic reduction. For the next course try some seared Red Snapper with a Papaya-mango salsa, or the Bistec a la Parilla, which is grilled beef tenderloin with black bean pate and Yukon Gold potatoes. Make sure and save room for dessert.
Tango is well known for its El Diablo dessert - a bittersweet cube of sinfully rich dark chocolate topped with cayenne, spicy almonds, cocoa nibs and burnt meringue. Please note that if you are celiac, avoid anything fried, as Tangos does not have a dedicated GF fryer.
